Alejandra Leal has assisted cities across Mexico to develop new street designs and strategies to improve safety and accessibility. She is a director of Céntrico, a consultancy specializing in sustainable urban transportation, and was Active Mobility Director for the Institute for Transportation & Development Policy.
Céntrico is currently developing a street design manual for the federal government. Alejandra joined TransitCenter to discuss the status and politics of complete streets policies and advocacy in Mexico, with focus on transit, walking and cycling in Nuevo Laredo along the Mexico/U.S. border.
